Prop Firm Software With No Monthly Fee

Most prop firm platforms charge $1,000 to $5,000 per month. Some do not. Here is what prop firm software with no monthly fee looks like and what it costs.

The Monthly Fee Problem

When I was building LaunchPropFirm, the first thing I checked was what competitors charged monthly. The numbers were shocking.

Most people researching prop firm software hit the same wall.

The platform looks good. The demo is clean. Then they find the pricing page.

$2,500 per month. $3,000 per month. Sometimes $5,000.

For someone starting out, that is a serious obstacle. You have not made a dollar yet and you are already committing to $30,000 or more per year just to keep the lights on.

There is another model. Some platforms charge once. No monthly fee after that.

What "No Monthly Fee" Actually Means

When a prop firm platform says no monthly fee, it means you pay once for the software license and own it permanently.

Your ongoing costs after that are hosting and a price feed. A VPS runs $10 to $20 per month. An MT5 price feed runs $30 to $50 per month. Total ongoing cost: under $70 per month.

That is not a monthly fee for the platform. That is infrastructure you would be paying for anyway regardless of which software you used.

Platforms With No Monthly Fee

There are a handful of options in 2026 that use a one time license model.

PropAccount charges a one time setup fee starting around $3,000. No monthly platform fee after that. They have been running since 2019 and have launched over 100 firms.

Hashcodex also offers a one time license path. Similar positioning: pay once, own the platform.

LaunchPropFirm starts at $2,500 for the source code tier. Launch Ready is $4,500. Launch Partner is $7,400. All one time, full source code included.

What You Actually Own With a One Time License

This matters more than the price difference.

With a monthly SaaS platform, you are renting. The code is not yours. If the vendor raises prices, you pay more or you close. If they shut down, your firm shuts down with them.

With a one time license that includes source code, you own the software. You can host it anywhere. You can modify it. You can sell your business and the platform comes with it.

That is a fundamentally different asset. A prop firm running on owned software has resale value. A prop firm running on rented software does not.

The 3-Year Cost Comparison

Here is what you actually spend over three years on each model.

ModelYear 1Year 2Year 3Total
SaaS at $2,000/mo$24,000$24,000$24,000$72,000
SaaS at $3,000/mo$36,000$36,000$36,000$108,000
One time at $4,500$5,340$840$840$7,020

The one time model costs $7,020 over three years including hosting and price feed.

The mid tier SaaS model costs $72,000 over the same period.

The difference is $64,980. That is money you either keep or reinvest in marketing, payouts, and growth.

What to Check Before Buying a No Fee Platform

Not all one time license platforms are the same. Ask these questions before committing.

Does the source code come with the purchase? Some one time licenses give you access to a hosted version but not the actual code. That is closer to SaaS than true ownership.

What happens to your data if the vendor closes? With source code, you can keep running on your own server. Without it, you lose everything.

Is there an ongoing support fee? Some platforms sell the license for a flat fee then charge separately for support, updates, or new features. Read the fine print.

What is included in the base price? Challenge system, payment processing, funded account management, admin panel, trading terminal. Make sure the core features are all there before paying for add ons.

The Hidden Costs Still Apply

No monthly fee does not mean no cost.

Payment processing fees apply regardless of which platform you use. Stripe charges 2.9% per transaction. On $10,000 in monthly challenge revenue, that is roughly $300 in fees.

Payout reserves are mandatory. Every funded trader who earns profit creates a payout liability. Set aside 25% of challenge fee revenue from day one.

Hosting is real. $15 per month on a VPS is manageable but it is not zero.

These costs exist on SaaS platforms too. The difference is on SaaS you pay all of this plus the platform fee on top.

Who Should Use a No Monthly Fee Platform

The one time model makes sense if you are planning to run this firm for more than 3 months.

At month 3, the math already favors a one time purchase over SaaS. Every month after that, the gap widens.

If you want to test whether prop trading is for you and you genuinely plan to quit after 60 days, the lower upfront cost of SaaS might make sense. But most people who launch a prop firm do not plan to close it in 60 days.

For anyone building a real business, owning your platform is not just cheaper. It is the only model that makes long term sense.

Operator Tip: The no-monthly-fee model is not just about saving money. Owning your platform outright changes your relationship with the business. You are not a renter who can be evicted if the vendor shuts down or raises prices. You own an asset that retains value even if you decide to sell or license the firm to another operator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do white label prop firm platforms with no monthly fee actually exist?

Yes. LaunchPropFirm is a one-time purchase with no recurring license fee. You pay once, receive full source code, and own the platform permanently. Ongoing costs are server hosting and market data only, which you control.

What is the catch with no-monthly-fee platforms?

There is no hidden recurring fee. The tradeoff is that setup and technical management fall more on the operator. Monthly SaaS platforms handle hosting and maintenance as part of the fee. One-time platforms require you to manage your own server environment.

How is support handled if there is no monthly subscription?

Support structures vary by vendor. LaunchPropFirm includes setup support. Source code ownership means you can hire any developer to maintain or modify the platform. You are not dependent on a single vendor for ongoing technical work.

What happens if the platform vendor closes down after a one-time purchase?

Because you own the source code, the platform continues to function regardless of what happens to the vendor. You can host it independently, modify it, or hire developers to maintain it. SaaS platform users face immediate operational disruption if their vendor shuts down.

Is a no-monthly-fee platform right for every operator?

It suits operators who prefer asset ownership over service subscriptions, have basic technical comfort or access to a developer, and plan to operate for more than 6 months. For very short-term or experimental operations, the lower upfront cost of a monthly SaaS might be appropriate.
